Buero Vallejo: teatro e historia

Abstract

Antonio Buero Vallejo abrió con su teatro histórico un camino que, de modos diversos y con diferentes estéticas pero con una identidad de principio (enfoque crítico y relación con el presente), lo transitan autores de generaciones posteriores y distintas tendencias. En este artículo se examinan el sentido y los caracteres de ese teatro bueriano y su pervivencia.

Antonio Buero Vallejo, with his historical theatre, paved the way to the authors of the following generations which, although from different aesthetics, share the same basic identity (critical perspective and connection to the present). This article examines both the significance and the persistence of Buero’s historical theatre.
