The book gathers the contributions presented during the Conference on ““Innovazione e regole. Il bilanciamento degli interessi nella PSD2 – Dir 2015/2366/UE”, hosted by the Law Department of Roma Tre University on 12th October 2018.
The event was a joint initiative of the Bank of Italy and University of Roma Tre (Department of Law).
The volume aims to analyze the impact of the Payment Service Directive (PSD2) on the internal market, focusing on the main challenging issue of the new regulatory framework, in the light of the rights and obligations in relation to the provision and use of payment services.
The papers collected were presented by researchers from the academia, the Bank of Italy, and other institutions (Authorities) involved by the new discipline.
The book is divided into two parts, the first being devoted to trace the impact of the new discipline in a systematic way; the second on the issue of the interaction of the new regulatory framework with Competition law, Privacy, and with the protection of the users and the promotion of security.
