Abstract
Questo saggio esplora la relazione tra gli adolescenti e la casa, intesa sia come spazio fisico che simbolico, analizzando i molteplici universi che i giovani abitano nel contesto contemporaneo. L'opera evidenzia le sfide e le opportunità che gli adolescenti affrontano nell'ambito delle dinamiche familiari e sociali, con particolare attenzione alle trasformazioni avvenute nel periodo pandemico e post-pandemico. Attraverso un'analisi teoretica arricchita dalle più recenti ricerche empiriche sulla condizione adolescenziale in Italia, il libro approfondisce le dinamiche esistenziali e affettive legate all’abitare che caratterizzano le vite adolescenziali attuali, come il fenomeno del ritiro sociale. Il testo offre anche una riflessione sul significato dell'abitare oggi, proponendo spunti per ripensare le modalità di supporto e orientamento per gli adolescenti nel loro processo di crescita.
This essay explores the relationship between adolescents and the home, understood both as a physical and symbolic space, analyzing the multiple universes that young people inhabit in the contemporary context. The work highlights the challenges and opportunities adolescents face within family and social dynamics, with particular attention to the transformations that occurred during the pandemic and post-pandemic period. Through a theoretical analysis enriched by the latest empirical research on the adolescent condition in Italy, the book delves into the existential and emotional dynamics related to dwelling that characterize the current adolescent lives, such as the phenomenon of social withdrawal. The text also offers a reflection on the meaning of dwelling today, proposing ideas for rethinking the ways of support and guidance for adolescents in their growth process.
